7. Japan Garden Photo from Japan Garden archives

Japanese garden is an integral part of the Japanese culture. For centuries it has been uniting religion, art and respect for nature.
The idea of the Japanese garden was chosen in order to reveal the mightiness of stones and the strength of the area.
People of Samogitia are the last pagans in Europe. Shinto (""road of Gods"") is the most popular religion in Japan, so close to paganism, its object of worship is kami - nature and its objects (trees, mountains, stones, springs) or other phenomena.
Everywhere Japanese tried to emphasize their uniqueness and only in the nature they strived to disappear. For Japanese there is nothing inanimate, thus a man as a living being does not become an exclusive creature, he is just one of the elements of nature. So, there can not be any hierarchy.
